K-Peace A.K.A King of Originality and Fuji emerged winner of the Etisalat-Sponsored Nigerian Idol season 5 after garnering months of love, affection, & votes of the judges and viewers nationwide with his heart-wrenching performances that started with thousands of contestants at the auditions that took place in Benin, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Ibadan and Lagos.

K-Peace went home with a brand SUV, cash prize of N7.5 million and a mouth-watering recording deal with Universal Music Company.

The highlight of the finale was the performance of the Nigerian-French singer, songwriter and recording artist, Asa who lit up the stage and hearts of guests with hit songs from her chart topping new album, Bird of Stone.

“Etisalat is living up to its reputation as a lifestyle brand that is passionate about the youth and Nigerian Idol is one of our platforms to celebrate the Nigerian youths.’’Chief Marketing Officer, Etisalat Nigeria, Francesco Angelone, said.  

K-Peace declared his excitement at being crowned the winner of the competition.

 He said, "I am overwhelmed getting to this stage today because I faced tougher and amazing talents, especially Dolu. I thank the sponsors of this competition for giving me the opportunity to pursue my dream.”

Dolu is the runner-up, and she received a cash prize of N1.5 million and a brand new Hyundai car. Congratulations are also in order for the second runner up, Nex2, who earned himself N1 million.
