"Star Trek" star Anton Yelchin died this morning at the age of 27, following a freak accident outside his Los Angeles home.
According to TMZ, the actor was found pinned between his own car and a brick mailbox pillar early this morning.
Aside from his role as Pavel Chekhov in the 2009 "Star Trek" reboot, "Star Trek Into Darkness" and the upcoming "Star Trek Beyond" -- which will be released July 22 --
the young star was also known for his work in "Alpha Dog," "Terminator: Salvation" and the "Fright Night" remake.
