'Fake' Niger Delta Avengers allegedly 'dupe' Federal Government $10m

 

According to the People's Democratic Party, PDP, fraudsters parading as Niger Delta Avengers duped Federal Government of $10m yesterday. That was before the militants bombed Chevron’s Escravos tank in Delta State.

The Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, had said few days ago that the Federal Government is willing to Negotiate with the militant group to avoid further attack.

Now PDP is alleging that Kachikwu bribed members of the Niger Delta Avengers with a whooping sum of $10 million to convince the militant group to stop its campaign against oil production in the country.

The allegation against the minister was made yesterday and by Nigeria’s main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The PDP took to Twitter to expose the alleged deal which was concluded at the Transcorp Hilton hotel in Abuja.
