A pair of 'cruel and pitiless' lesbian killers who Googled 'can wives be in prison together' have been jailed for life today for battering two-year-old Liam Fee to death and trying to blame the murder on another boy.

Toddler Liam suffered more than 30 external injuries when he was beaten to death by his mother Rachel Fee, 31, and her partner Nyomi Fee, 29, at their home near Glenrothes, Fife, east Scotland.

The couple, who were convicted last week of the shocking murder following a seven-week trial, were today both sentenced to life in prison by Judge Lord Burns at the High Court in Edinburgh, Daily Mail reports.
Rachel Fee, 31, (left) and her civil partner Nyomi Fee, 29, (right)

Receiving mandatory life sentences, Nyomi Fee was ordered to spend a minimum of 24 years in prison, while Liam's mother Rachel was told she must serve behind bars for 23-and-a-half years. The pair displayed little emotion as their sentences were delivered, one after the other, and there was silence in the packed courtroom as the pair were led away to the cells.
The court had heard how defenceless Liam died at his home in March 2014 having suffered 'car crash-style injuries' including a ruptured heart as a result of severe blunt force trauma to his body.

Woman kills her 2 daughters to punish husband(Photos)

A Texas woman fatally shot by police after killing her two daughters told her husband, “This is about punishing you,” .
A family friend of Taylor and Madison Sheats and their parents Christy and Jason Sheats told KTRK-TV on Tuesday that the shooting Friday evening at a suburban Houston home followed one of the couple’s frequent arguments.
Police said an officer fatally shot longtime gun rights advocate Christy Sheats, 42, after cops rushed to the Katy home to find her shooting at one of her daughters in the street. The argument between the women’s parents turned deadly on their father’s birthday, the family friend, Madison Davey told the TV station.

“He told Christy, ‘Just shoot yourself. Make it easy on all of us, just shoot yourself,’ and she said, ‘No, that's not what this is about, this is about punishing you,’” Davey said. “I always knew something would happen. I never thought she would do this. Christy was toxic for the family. She was mentally unstable.”
The "completely off-the-wall emotional" mom once spent time in a mental institution, Davey said.
On Friday, she hid the gun under a couch and brought it out to fire on her own daughters at a family meeting she demanded because her husband refused to apologize for the argument, she said.

He would do anything to protect them and he tried to, but Christy was out to kill that day," Davey said.

‎Benue woman beats husband to death for cheating on her

File photo
A lecturer in the Theatre Arts Department of the College of Education Oju in Benue State, Godwin Abuul, has been allegedly murdered by his wife for cheating on her. ‎It was gathered that Abuul, who went missing about two weeks ago in Gboko, was killed by his wife.
She allegedly dumped his remains in River Katsina/Ala.
According to Vanguard ,the deceased was declared missing in Gboko two weeks ago after returning from Oju where he lectured at the state owned College of Education.
Narrating the story, a family source said,

“Goddy used to lecture at the College of Education in Oju. He travels weekly from here in Gboko to Oju to lecture, after which he returns to Gboko to spend his weekend with his wife and two children.
“Unfortunately, two weeks ago he returned from Oju and said he was traveling to Katsina/Ala on a private visit, that was the last we heard of him.
“His disappearance was reported to the Police who since then have been combing the entire state in search of him.
“Luckily, just two days ago, the cloth he wore the last day we saw him was found with a young man, who was immediately arrested by the Police in Gboko.
“Upon interrogation, the young man confessed to the Police how the missing lecturer was allegedly killed by his wife in connivance with her siblings.
“His confession triggered the arrest of several persons including the wife of the deceased and mother of his two children and all those mentioned in the saga, by the Police in Gboko, though the matter has been transferred to the Command Headquarters in Makurdi for further investigations.”
Continuing, the source said,
“already his wife has confessed all she knew about the matter to the Police. We learnt that she alleged that her brothers beat her husband up because he was involved in extra marital affairs, but not with the intention to kill him.
“After killing him, they allegedly dumped his body in River Katsina/Ala and also went ahead to sell his Honda car to an innocent buyer for the sum of N650,000 and of that sum, the wife of the murdered lecturer was given the sum of N400, 000 as her share of the proceed.
“As I speak with you, the Police and local divers are still combing River Katsina/Ala to locate the remains of Goddy (the deceased) but we very much doubt if his remains would be seen, because the fishes must have feasted on it.”
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Assistant Superintendent, ASP, Moses Yamu who confirmed the incident said he was yet to get full details of the matter.
Yamu said, “yes I know of the matter but I’m yet to get the full details from the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, because the suspects are yet to arrive Makurdi. At this moment I cannot confirm that the wife of the deceased was behind his murder until the details are made available to me.”

Oscar Pistorious-I'll rather spend 10 years for manslaughter than a day for murder

Oscar Pistorius says he is willing to spend 10 years in prison for killing his girlfriend – but shouldn’t serve a single day for murder.
And, in a sensational TV interview, he displays huge emotion, howling and crying before walking out in tears as he admits he can still “feel and smell” the blood.Pistorius insists the killing was an accident saying:

“I heard a noise at the toilet and before I knew it I’d fired four shots.
“I opened the toilet door and immediately when I saw Reeva she was over the toilet. And I [breaks down], at that point I knew I’d killed her. I knew she was dead. And I just see blood and it’s just blood everywhere. [sobbing] It’s just blood everywhere... So much blood! [sobbing] and I don’t know what to do.”
Pistorius then sobs and wails into his hands and walks out of the chat.

In another part of the ITV interview, his voice breaks and he looks to the floor as he adds:
“I did take Reeva’s life and I have to live with that. I can smell the blood. I can feel the warmness of it on my hands.
“And I understand the pain people feel, that loved her and miss her. I feel that same pain. I feel that same hate for myself. I feel that same difficulty in understanding this.”
The amputee sprinter insists he is innocent of murder and even believes Reeva would support him in his bid for freedom on a charge of culpable homicide.
He said: “What is difficult is dealing with this charge of murder. The day before we started the trial I sat with my lawyers and I said to them, ‘I will spend 10 years in jail for taking Reeva’s life, for culpable homicide, but I won’t spend a day in jail for murdering anyone’.

Nashville rape case echoes sex assault by Stanford swimmer

The cases are tragically similar: Student-athletes at two elite universities accused of sex crimes against unconscious women. Yet one is given six months in a county jail, while the other is facing at least 15 years in prison.

The Associated Press FILE- In this Oct. 16, 2013 file photo, former Vanderbilt football player Cory Batey attends a discussion hearing at the Birch Building in Nashville, Tenn. The cases are tragically similar: Student-athletes at two eli…

Some have questioned why 20-year-old former Stanford swimmer Brock Turner, who is white, received a far less severe sentence for a January 2015 assault than the one faced by former Vanderbilt football player Cory Batey, 22, who is black. The differences took on added significance this week as a white former teammate of Batey's, Brandon Vandenburg, stood trial again in Nashville for his role in the dorm room assault, which took place in June 2013. Vandenburg was convicted of multiple counts of aggravated rape and aggravated sexual battery late Saturday.

But the comparison was never so simple.

The difference in punishment reflects the number of alleged perpetrators in one case, the acts committed, overwhelming evidence documenting one of the crimes, and variations in how rape is defined in Tennessee and California.
"It does seem like an extreme disparity, but I would say this: With these sex crimes, the facts are very important, the details are very important, and the law punishes the conduct differently depending on what conduct can be proven," said Dmitry Gorin, a Los Angeles criminal defense lawyer and former prosecutor specializing in sex crimes. "In the Stanford case, they did not prove rape."

The two cases have moved to the forefront of a national debate about sexual assaults on the nation's college campuses and the conduct of student athletes. And some critics insist the circumstances are too similar to justify the discrepancy.

Misee Harris, a Los Angeles-based blogger who used to live in Tennessee and writes extensively about race issues, has been among those criticizing how the two cases were handled. She says neither punishment hit the mark.
"One is just excessive and the other is just a little too lenient," Harris said.

The Stanford swimmer was convicted of sexual assault, not rape, after two students discovered him on top of an unconscious woman behind a dumpster. The four former Vanderbilt students, three of whom are black, were charged with aggravated rape. Vandenburg now faces the same sentence as Batey: a minimum of 15 years in prison with no parole.

The aggravated rape charges came into play under Tennessee law because the victim was unconscious and there was more than one alleged perpetrator. Two of the Vanderbilt players were charged with aggravated rape even though they did not have sexual contact with the woman because prosecutors considered them active participants.

In the cases of both Batey and Turner, the suspects and victims say they were drunk and remember little or nothing. Legal experts say that puts added weight on physical evidence, which was far more substantial in the Vanderbilt assault.
The Vanderbilt case included graphic evidence, such as cellphone videos and photos. No photo or video evidence surfaced in the case against Turner.

Another key distinction involves how the two states view the crime. Juries for both Turner and Batey found that digital penetration took place but did not conclude that sexual intercourse had occurred. Tennessee law considers digital penetration to be rape; California does not.

Turner, in fact, was not even charged with rape when he went to trial in March.
"They chose not to prove rape because they did not have the evidence for it, according to the records and the press reports," said Gorin, the Los Angeles attorney. "In the Tennessee case, they proved aggravated rape, and the law in the different states punishes the conduct differently."

California has minimum 15-year sentences for certain types of aggravated rape, Gorin said, but that's not what prosecutors proved in the Stanford case. The lesser charges Turner was convicted of in March carried a maximum of 14 years in prison, and prosecutors asked that he spend six years behind bars.

However, the judge did not have to adhere to a strict minimum and gave him six months instead. Tennessee law does not grant the same discretion to judges in aggravated rape cases, said Rob McKinney, a Nashville lawyer and expert in Tennessee criminal law who is familiar with the case. That means the judge in Batey's case must sentence him to at least 15 years in prison when he is sentenced in July. The same is true for Vandenburg, and the aggravated rape convictions for both carry a maximum of 25 years in prison.

"That is the floor, not the ceiling," said McKinney, addressing Batey's sentence. "He's not getting out of it. He's going to go to prison."

Teen stabbed to death by a second man after giving $2 to a homeless man, — apparently because the cash donation wasn’t big enough

A Bronx teen, after giving $2 to a homeless man, was stabbed to death by a second man — apparently because the cash donation wasn’t big enough, the victim’s mom said Saturday.

Carl Ducasse, an aspiring attorney set to graduate high school this month, was knifed multiple times in his chest late Friday by a killer who remained on the run, police said.

“The homeless guy wanted more,” said a weeping Angela Ducasse, the slain teen’s mother. “He died because of $2. I can’t believe he’s gone.”
The victim’s parents, surrounded by a dozen family members and friends, sat in their home about a block from the murder scene at E. 175th St. and Walton Ave. in Mount Hope.

A small memorial with lit candles appeared within hours of the killing outside the teen’s home.
Cops confirmed Ducasse was approached by a man asking for money, with an argument ensuing before a second man armed with a knife appeared and attacked the teen.
No arrests were made in the killing, cops said.

Angela Ducasse said her son, after handing over the cash, bent down to pick up his dropped phone before the killer struck. The suspect apparently stole the dying teen's phone after he collapsed to the sidewalk.
Carl Ducasse, the youngest of three kids, was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital but could not be saved, officials said.

“He was never a kid of the streets,” said Angela Ducasse. “He was a regular teenager. He was never arrested. He said he wanted to be a lawyer.
“We already bought his graduation clothes.”

A friend who was with Carl when the attack happened about 11:20 p.m. told the family about the confrontation. Dad Carlos Ducasse, 49, said the suspect lived in a nearby homeless shelter.
Fighting back tears on the eve of Father’s Day, Carlos talked of his son’s lost future.

“He wanted to go to college,” the dad said. “He wanted to be prepared for life.”

Police dismiss cop for collecting N50,000 bribe(Photo)

A police sergeant, Daniel Osaimayu, has been dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force for allegedly collecting N50,000 bribe from motorists in the Oshodi area of Lagos State.
Our correspondent gathered that Osaimayu, who was attached to the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit, Alausa, was arrested on Monday by the X-Squad of the Lagos State Police Command.

Punch learnt that the X-Squad operatives had arrested a hoodlum in the area and found the cash on him.
The hoodlum, however, fingered the police sergeant, who was posted to the area, as his accomplice.
The state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, who confirmed the dismissal on Wednesday, said four other policemen were dismissed for extortion and improper dressing.
Our correspondent gathered that the four dismissed policemen were Samuel Ando, Michael Adeoya, Richard Ugwu and Sulaiman Muhammed.
It was learnt that Adeoya was dismissed for allegedly wearing flip-flops while on duty, while Muhammed was dismissed for allegedly not wearing police uniform while on duty.
Speaking with PUNCH Metro while being paraded, Osaimayu, who was dismissed for bribe, said the money was received from motorists in the area and kept with the hoodlum.
The ex-policeman, who denied that the money was collected in his name, begged the CP to reverse the dismissal as he had no means to feed his family.
He said, “I was at my duty post on Monday in the Oshodi area when the X-Squad operatives came to arrest me. It was around 10am. A hoodlum had earlier been arrested and searched, and the money was found on him. The suspect confessed it was the money obtained from motorists and he said I authorised him to do it.
“I did not know he collected any money on my behalf. I was whisked off to the command headquarters, Ikeja. They searched me, but no money was found on me. The CP should reconsider me. I have family members to cater to.”
Adeoya, who was arrested for wearing flip-flops, denied that he was on duty at that time, adding that he went to the Mile 12 Market to buy food supplements for his fowls.
He said, “I boarded a tricycle to the Mile 12 area. As I alighted, the X-Squad officials swooped on me and said I was improperly dressed. But I was not on duty. I worked as a guard to a chairman of a political party in the Kosofe area.
“As of the time of my arrest, I was going to the market to buy food supplements for my fowls. I rear fowls in my house. I was surprised that I was arrested. After I was interrogated, they said I would be tried for improper dressing. There is nobody to feed my fowls. They would have all died by now.”
Another suspect, Muhammed, who was attached to the Idimu Police Division, while pleading for mercy, said he had a health challenge and was going to treat himself when he was arrested.
He said, “I was on night duty at a politician’s house in Idimu. I had an asthmatic attack and I was going to get my inhaler. Someone gave me a ride to Idimu. I was going to the police station when they arrested me for improper dressing. I am not into extortion. I was dealing with my health challenge.”

Man stabs teenager citing Ramadan ‘sacrifice’

A man with known psychiatric problems stabbed a 19-year-old girl three times in
France on Tuesday (June 14), telling police he had heard voices ordering him to make a “sacrifice” for Ramadan. The attack came a day after a jihadist killed a French police couple in a small town near Paris, in a stabbing inspired by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria group.
“Voices told him that he had to make a sacrifice on the occasion of Ramadan,” the holy Muslim fasting month that began on June 6, prosecutor Nicolas Jacquet told AFP.
The 32-year-old man was immediately assessed by a doctor and sent to a psychiatric hospital after stabbing the girl twice in the wrist and once in the abdomen, Jacquet said, adding that the teenager’s wounds are not life-threatening.
The assailant told a witness that he was Muslim before handing over the knife after the attack, Jacquet said.
The man had been in and out of psychiatric wards several times, the prosecutor said, adding that he told investigators he was being treated for schizophrenia and was supposed to receive an injection on Tuesday.
An investigation has been opened into attempted murder.

I did not know I was HIV positive before I had sex with 12 year old-Rape suspect

There are fears for the health of a 12-year old female rape victim in Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State, as one of the two suspects arrested by the state police command in connection with the case, one Emmanuel Nwachukwu, has confessed to testing positive of HIV/ AIDS after being screened by doctors in a public hospital in the state.

Nwachukwu, a 52-year-old man and a builder by profession, stated this while being paraded by the police in Minna along with the second suspect, Chinedu Andrew (22).

The two suspects were accused of raping a Primary Six pupil, Bright (not real name), whose mother is said to be a close family friend to the wife of the first suspect and a neighbour to both suspects.
According to Nwachukwu,
“I have tested positive to HIV/AIDS, but before the test was conducted, I did not know I had the virus.”
He said he did not rape the girl, but made love with her, adding:
“She told me she was about 15 years old.” He further stated that he was married and blessed with four children.
Giving an insight into how he got involved with the rape victim, the suspect said:
“One afternoon in November 2015, Bright came to my residence when I lay on my bed .
“She climbed the bed and was touching me. I asked what her problem was because I saw her as a young girl, but she responded that I would not understand. She kept on playing with me and when I could no longer hold myself, I made love to her.”
The suspect further explained that when he realised that the girl was wayward,
“I started telling her that I was going to report her to her mother but she responded that she was going to tell her mother that I was the one that had been making love to  her.”
Also, the second suspect, Andrew,   confessed to defiling the young girl but claimed that she agreed to be his girlfriend when he informed her that he was aware of her love affairs with the first suspect, who happened to be the father of his bosom friend.
The SSS2 student narrated his story thus:
“I used to see Bright with Oga Emma (Nwachukwu) sometimes in his house. One day, I asked her what she was doing with Oga Emma as I was always seeing them together.
“I advised her against dating a man old enough to be her father and she replied that it was the man that was pestering her for sex.”
Andrew added that no sooner had he given the advice to the victim than she started touching him in some sensitive parts of his  body, after which he quickly stripped his clothes and  had carnal knowledge of her.
Andrew said that his love making sessions with Bright continued, but that did not stop him from revealing the first suspect’s escapades with the young girl to his son. This, he stated, made Nwachukwu unhappy.
“It was Oga Emma who went and informed Bright’s mother that I was sleeping with her daughter. This made the woman to report the case at the police station and I was arrested. I felt I had not done anything to warrant being arrested by the police because I felt I was innocent as the girl voluntarily agreed that I should be her boyfriend. I also told the police that I was not the only one sleeping with the girl and mentioned  Oga Emma’s name.”
When Crime Reports contacted the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, he confirmed the incident, saying that the suspects would be charged to court, as investigations into the case had been concluded. He however refused to talk on the health status of the first suspect.

Fake military officer flogs policewoman in Lagos traffic

A 34-year-old man, Lucky Onofua, has been arrested in the Egbeda area of Lagos State after he allegedly posed as a Squadron Leader of the Nigerian Air Force and beat up a policewoman, who was controlling traffic.
It was gathered that Onofua allegedly beat up the female sergeant, whose name had yet to be known, for stopping his Sport Utility Vehicle at an intersection in Egbeda on Monday.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the fake air force officer got out of his vehicle and allegedly flogged the policewoman.
It was gathered that in the commotion that ensued, the sergeant held onto the clothes of the fake officer. An eyewitness said Onofua’s vehicle slightly hit the policewoman, who sprawled on the road and refused to get up.
It was learnt that the sergeant was rescued by some passersby who also put a distress call to the Shasha Police Division.
When the policemen got to the scene, Onofua, who hails from Irrua-Central Local Government Area of Edo State, was asked to identify himself, but he allegedly insisted that he was an air force officer.
He was said to have been taken to the police station where a call was put across to the authorities of the Nigerian Air Force in Ikeja, to ascertain his claim.
Two Wing Commanders of the Nigerian Air Force were said to have gone to the division to verify Onofua’s identity. The two officers said Onofua was an impostor.
A witness, who gave his name only as Emmanuel, said Onofua battered the police sergeant for daring to stop a “military officer’s vehicle.”
He said, “The traffic light is around a commercial bank on Egbeda Road. The area was busy. The policewoman asked the SUV to stop so that vehicles on the other side could pass. The man refused.
“The sergeant too became angry and stood in front of the vehicle. The man came down and began to flog her with a horsewhip. She held his clothes and began to tear them.
“Other motorists were afraid that it could lead to a free-for-all between security operatives and they alerted the Shasha division. That was how the man and the sergeant were invited to the station.”
A police source told PUNCH Metro that policemen at the division had invited Onofua, who was believed to be a Nigerian Air Force officer, to settle the matter amicably, only to find out he was a fake officer.
He said, “The Divisional Police Officer asked the suspect to come in so that they could talk like gentlemen. The DPO asked him to identify himself and he said he had forgotten his ID card at home. The DPO then secretly called an Air Commodore to verify the man’s claim. Two Wing Commanders from the Air Force base at PWD were thereafter sent to the division. That was how Onofua’s bubble burst and he was arrested.”
Our correspondent gathered that the suspect thereafter told the policemen that he had wanted to become an Air Force officer and that he had some friends in the force.
Policemen from the division on Tuesday reportedly went to the suspect’s apartment to check if he had guns or military uniforms in his possession.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmos, confirmed Onofua’s arrest, adding that investigation was ongoing on the matter.
She said, “The suspect will be charged to court for serious assault and impersonation. He allegedly hit the sergeant with his vehicle, and came down to whip the policewoman all over.
“The Nigerian Air Force authorities were invited and we discovered that the man was an impostor. We are currently investigating the matter.”

But for the police intervention angry residents of Ibeshe in Ikorodu, Lagos would have yesterday lynched a suspected serial rapist identified as Badoo.
The suspect was alleged to have raped some married women including Mrs. Grace Obinna Jubreel, 27, who he allegedly mauled in the presence of her 14-month-old baby.

But luck ran out against him yesterday when he was sighted by some members of the community who attacked him for his alleged atrocities.
The residents, who last Thursday, protested at the palace of the traditional ruler in Ibeshe, insisted that the suspect be handed over to them by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).he Nation gathered that the mob gathered at the monarch’s palace for several hours, demanding that Badoo be handed over to them.

According to a resident, Segun Ogundeji, it was yet to be ascertained if the suspect was the serial rapist.
He said: “Someone has been arrested, purportedly being the person. But with the situation on ground now, I can’t confirm he’s the person.  He is at the palace of the Olu of Ibeshe. We’ve been trying to manage the crowd for over four hours now. They are insisting on lynching the person but we are pleading that justice should take its course. We are looking for a way to help the police to ferry him away so that investigations can be conducted. I have been liaising between the police and the palace, so I haven’t been able to speak with the suspect, to know whether he’s denying or accepting the allegations.”
Another resident, who gave his name as Adenike, alleged that the suspect usually inflicted knife injuries on his victims, adding that he uses a handkerchief to clean up his victims after raping them.
A police source told The Nation that the suspect has been moved to the station.
He said: “We have moved him from the palace to the station. The residents were really angry and wanted to kill him. But after several hours of dialogue, we were able to take the man to the station unhurt.”.
The police command’s spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent  (SP) said the suspect would be arraigned today.
She said: “The suspect is in our custody. He was arrested over the weekend. The man is a serial rapist. They said he raped and killed a woman, but police don’t have the information about him being a killer yet. He would be charged to court on Monday (today).”
Residents relive Mrs Jubreel’s death
Oke-Ota Community Development Association Chairman, Mr Titilayo Ibraheem, yesterday relived the death of Mrs Jubreel and said it remains a mystery to them how the suspect managed to enter Mrs Jubreel’s room.
“I got a call from the overall chairman of the community, Pastor Adelakun around  1:45am on Sunday, June 5, that he learnt from the chief security that some thieves had broken into a house in my area.
“Immediately I stood up and woke my son who followed me. When I got to the gate, I saw the chief security who was struggling to enter the compound but I was able to help him open it from behind because I am the caretaker of the house. We opened and saw Mrs Grace naked on the ground inside the compound. That was when we detected the culprit carried her out of her room to the compound.
“Immediately, I started knocking on other tenants’ doors because none of them knew what had happened even while the helpless woman was groaning in pains. They were all still deep in sleep. I saw that a generator was on and the sound might have prevented them from hearing. I quickly put off the gen and hit the doors hard, they later came out .
“When I entered her room, I found blood both in the parlour and bedroom, there was an interlock and plier on the floor, I guess that was what she was attacked with. Everywhere was stained. The baby was also on the bed; her pant was stained with blood. It was such a pitiful scene. Together with the chief security and his colleagues, we rushed her to a hospital nearby but they quickly referred us to Ikorodu General Hospital where she was quickly attended to. They gave her blood. I left there with the overall chairman and we went to Ipakodo Police Station to report.”
He continued: “The chairman and the chief security were the ones that spoke with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), I wasn’t aware of what they discussed but I knew they attended to them. With the protest the women demonstrated yesterday, the DPO and Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) were all there to calm the women who were not happy with the situation. We have learnt of cases of rape before this one and people had suspected one man who they said after raping, he injures the women some times. An old woman I learnt is still in the hospital after being raped by the man.
“The king told the women that the current incident will be the first he is aware of. He has however assured us that effective measures would be taken. The landlord lives in Lagos but he has visited thrice since the incident occurred. Grace is like a daughter to me, she was close to my late wife who was also a teacher. The incident is shocking.”
I saw the suspect
The chief security officer, Mr Femi Oluwaloba, was the first to reach the victim but was unable to apprehend the attacker. He said he heard Mrs Jubreel’s screams  from a distance.
He said: “I saw a man at Oke- Odo , Oke- Ota and towards the transformer close to the gate. I deployed two security men to those areas and I usually patrol with my bike. I guess the incident must have occurred between 12 and 1 because I heard the scream around 1:40 am.
“I quickly rode towards where I heard the scream and flashed my torch immediately I got to the front of the gate. All my thought was that it could be a fight between husband and wife. I shouted and flashed my torch when I saw the shadow of a man but immediately I flashed the torch, he bent and ran.
“I wanted to enter the compound but I was unable to open the gate. I quickly alerted the other security manning other areas to quickly show up. I was struggling to enter but I was unable. I called the overall chairman to call the Oke Odo chairman that something was happening in his area.”
Oluwaloba continued: “So, he came around and was able to open the gate, we found the woman lying in a pool of blood naked and she was badly injured. The man’s palm print was visible on the wall with blood all over. I can’t imagine why he carried the woman out. It was a horrible scene and we rushed her to the hospital.”
“We have learnt of cases of rape in other community and it is obvious it is the culprit that must have come to Oke Odo. We don’t know his mission but the king together with the police have started taking necessary measures.”
The Nation gathered that the tenants have vacated the house out of fear. An expectant mother, Mrs Esther, a neighbour to the late Mrs Jubreel, recalled that she was a quiet and easygoing person.
“ I didn’t see her quarrel with anyone and I didn’t hear anything that day not until the chairman woke us up. My husband is planning to take me out of the house because we are afraid,” she said.
Mrs Jubreel’s remains were buried yesterday morning at her late mother’s residence in Maya, Ikorodu.

Corporal kills, buries inspector over N300,000(Photo)

A police corporal, Daramola Tosin, attached to the Ekiti Police Division in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, has been dismissed from the Force for allegedly killing an inspector, Mr. Lateef Shuaib.
Tosin allegedly shot Shuaib after secretly withdrawing up to N300,000 from Shuaib’s bank account without his consent.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Shuaib had entrusted Tosin with his Automated Teller Machine card when he fell ill.
The suspect was said to have initially withdrawn money for the use of the father of two.
However, it was learnt that the suspect started taking money in bits from the account for his own use until he withdrew up to N300,000.
Shuaib was said to have chided him for the action.
The inspector was reportedly defecating when Tosin shot him dead with an AK-47 rifle and buried him at the back of a police barracks.
The victim’s sister, Sherifat Hammed, was said to have reported to the Osi Police Station on May 10, 2016, that Shuaib had been missing since May 6.
Hammed said she suspected Tosin because her elder brother informed her when he was sick that he entrusted his UBA ATM card to the suspect to help him in withdrawing money.
The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sam Okaula, said when the matter was brought to his attention he ensured that discreet investigation was conducted, adding that the suspect was arrested.
According to him, the corporal confessed to the crime and was dismissed.
Our correspondent learnt that the corporal was made to face an orderly-room trial for leaving his place of duty and for discreditable conduct and was found guilty.
The CP said, “We do not condone crime. We go after anyone including members of the Force who go out of their way to commit crime. We will investigate and prosecute them if found culpable and ensure we gain conviction. This particular dastardly act will not be an exception.”
The suspect was arraigned on Tuesday before a magistrate’s court in Ilorin.
According to the First Information Report obtained by our correspondent in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, the suspect buried the late inspector at the back of the Osi Police Barracks.
It said, “Investigation conducted at the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Ilorin, revealed that on May 6 at about 10pm, while Inspector Lateef Shuaib was defecating inside the bush, very close to the barracks at the Osi Police Station, you Daramola Tosin, callously and viciously traced him to the bush and shot him with your AK-47 rifle that led to his untimely death and you later buried him inside the bush at the back of Osi Police Barracks without the knowledge of anybody.”
Meanwhile, Shuaib’s wife, Mosunmola , 47, of Ife, Olukotun, in the Yagba East of Kogi State, said the death of her husband by someone he trusted was devastating to the family.
She stated that their children, Kudirat, 23, and Sadiat, 20, had been traumatised by the calamity.

17 year old girl kidnapped ,turned to sex slave by facebook friend relieves her horror

A teenager from Madagascar has spoken of how she was kidnapped, drugged and raped for two months after meeting a man she had spoken to online.

'Jenny', 17, from Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, had been talking to the 28-year-old on Facebook for six months, and when he asked, she agreed to meet him.

She spent the first two weeks in captivity unconscious, after which she remembers being repeatedly raped, abused and fed drugs to force her into submission and stop her escaping.

I had more than 310 friends on Facebook. I didn't know over a hundred of them. I just wanted to have many friends on Facebook,' Jenny, which is not her real name, said.
She accepted a friend request from a 28-year-old man she did not know, and the pair began chatting on the social network.
'My parents didn't know that I was talking to strangers on Facebook. The 28-year-old guy came and told me to follow him.'
Over the following six months, Jenny talked to her new Facebook friend a lot, and when she needed help she reached out to him.

She had failed an exam at school, and her teacher had told her he wanted more than £200 in exchange for giving her a pass - money Jenny simply did not have.

So she turned to her Facebook friend, and he agreed to help her.

'He kidnapped me and kept me locked in his house for two months. I was unconscious for two weeks.'I dreamt that my mother died so I tried to escape but I couldn't. I could never go out and he abused me. He raped me during these two months. I used to cry a lot after what he did to me.'I could not expect that the man whom I spoke to on Facebook for six months could have done such bad things to me.

'I really believed what he said when we spoke on Facebook, I did not realize that he might harm me when we met. I thought he was very kind.
Jenny was finally freed when a neighbour saw her at the abuser's house, and reported it to the police.

The police referred Jenny to a UNICEF supported help centre where Jenny received medical and psychosocial support and counseling.

She has been able to return to school, but complains of 'memory problems', and struggles to retain information.
'I am now more or less doing more or less ok now', she says.'Going back to school was ok but I have memory problems with the lessons I learn. 'I really don't know why it happened but when I learn the lessons, I remember nothing,'

The man was arrested and has since been charged with child abduction and sexual abuse and is awaiting trial.

Jenny's teacher who demanded payment for a passed exam has also been arrested.

15yrs old girl gang raped by three men
A 15-year-old girl was gang raped by men who strangled her to death before hanging her body from a tree to make it look like suicide, police in India have revealed.

The teenager slipped out of her home in the Bahraich district of India's Uttar Pradesh while her family was sleeping before going to meet one of the men.
But when she arrived, she realised he had brought along two of his friends who then attacked her, said police Superintendent Salik Ram Verma.
When the girl resisted, they strangled her before hanging her body from a tree just under a mile from her home.Police have arrested two men while a 'third accused is one the run', Verma told AFP.

'When the girl resisted their bid, she was raped and later strangled. To make it look like a case of suicide, they hung her body from a tree and left the spot.'
Four local police constables have also been suspended after an initial lack of action over the incident sparked outrage among villagers.

'I have suspended four constables for laxity and have issued stern instructions to the inspector concerned to book the third accused soon,' Verma said. The medical report has confirmed rape and strangulation,' he added
