APPLE LAUNCHES THE IPHONE SE IN LAGOS

The iPhone SE, a new 4-inch smartphone that offers brilliant and exciting options to the Apple's flagship iPhone 6S and 6S Plus is set to officially launch at the iConnect Store Lekki and SPAR Hypermarket VI Lagos on June 17 and 19 respectively.

Friendliest exes ever?  Amber Rose has reached a settlement in her divorce with Wiz Khalifa and both are obviously pleased with how things went.

Johnny Depp denies attacking his wife ,claims she only wants his millions

Johnny Depp has rejected claims in legal files which paint him as a tyrant who left his wife "truly fearing for her life".
Lawyers for the star said he would contest claims by actress Amber Heard that he hurled an iPhone at her.
Depp’s furious denial came as ­explosive new details about the celebrity couple’s marriage emerged.
As a $400million divorce fight loomed, his lawyer Laura Wasser said in a
statement:

“Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse.
“Amber is a successful model and actress who earns her own income and is capable of supporting herself.Amber’s anger certainly cannot drive this dissolution proceeding.”

However, Amber’s claims were being questioned as Los Angeles police said they were not investigating an assault.
LAPD Officer Drake Madison confirmed officers who attended the scene eight days ago saw no evidence of a physical assault.

He said: “A crime did not occur so the officers left the scene and left a business card.”

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard split after just 15 months of marriage

Amber Heard and Jhonny Depp have split.The actress has reportedly filed for divorce just 15 months after they married.

The actress, 30, cited irreconcilable differences when she filed the petition on Monday, according to TMZ.
Amber, who first started dating Johnny in 2012  is said to be seeking spousal support.
Sources tell the website the couple had no prenuptial agreement in place before they tied the knot.
Johnny - who is estimated to be worth around $400 million - is now said to have filed a response through his lawyer Laura Wasser asking for Amber's claim for spousal support to be turned down.
Amber filed for divorce just two days after Johnny’s mum Betty Sue Palmer passed away.

Johnny split from French actress Vanessa Paradis in 2012 after 14 years together.

After numerous complaints, Nigerians get DSTV to yank off 'I am Cait' from their channels

Popular controversial reality TV show, “I Am Cait” has been yanked from E! Entertainment AirPlay schedule by Multichoice Nigeria following unending complaints by Nigerians about the show. 

According to a statement release issued on Tuesday May 24, they said they are aware of the concerns raised by some of their customers in the Nigerian market regarding the programme “I Am Cait”, a reality show about Caitlyn Jenner’s – formerly known as Bruce Jenner – transgender journey on E! Entertainment (DStv channel 124 and GOtv channel 26). 

Dstv said the decision to pull the show from E! came after an instruction from the National Broadcasting Commission NBC.

In lieu of this MultiChoice Nigeria assured that they will review clients complaints and ensure that their interests is made priority.to regularly assess the impact their content has on their customers.

The Kardashians reportedly offered $100 million movie deal

The Kardashians could be about to sign a $100 million for a movie of their own.

The Kardashian-Jenner family have been reportedly offered the mega-bucks deal from a ‘top Hollywood studio’, reports The Sun.

Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and co. are said to be in talks, along with their momager Kris Jenner, with Hollywood execs about the possibility of heading to the silver screen for a feature film.

It’s been claimed that unlike their reality show, the movie will have a storyline written by scriptwriters and will be shot in LA as well as New York.

A 34-year-old Australian woman who attempted to climb Mount Everest to prove that vegans are not 'malnourished and weak' has died. 

University lecturer Maria Strydom perished from a lack of oxygen in Nepal on Saturday afternoon after having to turn back from the final leg of her expedition because she felt unwell,the Washington Post reports.

She, along with her husband Robert Gropel, challenged themselves to overcome Everest to show that 'vegans can do anything'.

Dr Strydom had said that climbing Everest while adhering to a strict vegan diet was their 'own personal Everest.'

Dr Strydom, who worked at Monash University, decided to turned back from her attempt to reach thesummit and was assisted down to the South Col by Mr Gropel. 

After spending the night there, shewalked out of her tent to continue the descent, only to collapse on the Geneva Spur, two hours from Camp 3 where helicopterevacuations are possible.

The expedition leader said Mr Gropel, who himself suffered highaltitude pulmonary oedema on the descent, tried unsuccessfullyto carry his wife's body down the mountain. 

He was taken byhelicopter to Kathmandu on Monday. For the past two years the mountain has been untouched by climbers because avalanches and safety fears.

Breaking News: GEJ allegedly goes on exile to avoid EFCC arrest

 THISDAY is reporting that there are strong indications that GEJ may have gone into temporary self exile in Cote d’Ivoire, following reports that the EFCC may arrest him on his arrival in Nigeria from his overseas tour, on allegations of corruption and misappropriation of billions of dollars during his tenure.
According to them, several sources close to GEJ said that he sought refuge in Cote d’Ivoire last week and also blamed the heightened attacks on oil and gas installations by militants, on why Pres. Buhari reneged on his promise that GEJ had nothing to fear from him after he handed over on May 29, 2015.

Since GEJ’s handing over, EFCC, has arrested several of his associates, on allegations of money laundering, diversion of public funds and contract scams, mostly linked to defence sector contracts and the purchase of arms used for the prosecution of the war against B@ko Haram in the North-east.

A source, who spoke to THISDAY on Jonathan’s decision to to seek exile in Côte d’Ivoire, said he was reliably warned, by security sources, of the plan to arrest him once he stepped into the country. Jonathan departed Nigeria for the U.S almost two months ago. .

After departing the US, he travelled to London to be with his children for a few days, preparatory to his return to Nigeria. But while in the UK, he was warned by sympathetic officials in different arms of government, of the government’s decision to arrest him once he returned to Nigeria.

On getting wind of the plan, Jonathan, THISDAY gathered, contacted a few West African leaders including the President of Cote d’Iviore, Alassane Outtara, who offered him a safe haven until the coast is clear for him to return to Nigeria.

Sources close to the president said since the information of the government’s resolve to arrest GEJ swept through the Niger Delta, Ijaw militants have gone berserk and stepped up their attacks on oil and gas installations in the region. They are said to be hell-bent on shutting down oil output completely.

UAE Deports woman for checking her husband’s phone

A woman was fined and ordered to be deported from the United Arab Emirates after she ‘breached her husband’s privacy by checking his cell phone to see if he was cheat*ng on her. The unnamed Arab expatriate was fined 150,000 dirhams ($40,843) by the criminal court in the emirate of Ajman, the English-language newspaper Gulf News said.
Her lawyer told the paper she had accused her husband of having an affair. She admitted she had accessed his phone without his permission and transferred photos to her device, the lawyer added.

The husband lodged a complaint with the court, which convicted her last week under a cybercrime law that penalizes “the invasion of privacy of another person” using information technology, the paper said.

It said the couple were in their 30s but gave no other information.
