Cleaning PDP’s Mess Requires Painstaking Planning, SaysPresidency

Mr. Femi Adesina
The Presidency has reacted to PDP's statement that the last 30 days under President Muhammadu Buhari for Nigeria has been a period of all motion and no movement.

In a new statement made available to journalists today, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, said cleaning the mess left behind by the Peoples Democratic Party, especially the immediate past administration, requires scrupulous and painstaking planning.

That across all sectors, national life was devalued under the PDP and it would take meticulousness
and sure-footedness to repair all the breaches. Adesina said:
“The Buhari administration is naturally contemplative because there was absolutely no rhyme or reason to the way PDP ran the country, particularly in the immediate past dispensation. That is why the Augean Stable is being cleaned now, and it requires scrupulous and painstaking planning.
Across all sectors, our national life was devalued, and it takes meticulousness and sure-footedness to repair all the breaches. This, the Buhari administration will deliver.”

He also described the PDP’s 30 days appraisal of the Buhari administration as amusing.

Adesina said while the party wanted Nigerians to join hands in prayers for the government so that things would begin to move, it did not know that Nigerians had long formed such coalition.

He said Nigerians were hand in hand, and that was what gave victory to Buhari in the March 28, 2015 poll.

He said they had teamed up to uproot an administration that had brought the country to her knees, and was about to tip her off the precipice, adding that they also resolved that never would they allow any government to divide them along regional, religious and ethnic fault lines again.

The presidential spokesman also described as “déjà vu,” a situation where Metuh claimed that people around the President were conniving with bureaucrats to syphon money from the treasury.

He said such situation was the pastime of the immediate past administration.

He added that the enormity of the sleaze will be evident when stolen money, to the tune of billions of dollars, is recovered, and returned to the national treasury soon.

“In the process of time, after all that is being planned by the current administration has matured, and bearing fruits, Nigerians will be able to determine who is serving them acceptably, and who has taken them for a ride. It is just a matter of time.
Meanwhile, Metuh and his masters can only rue the missed opportunities to make salutary impact on the lives of Nigerians. They have a long road of regrets to travel,” Adesina concluded.

Fan Flies Kim K's Sex Tape Flag During Kanye West Performance

Kanye West took the stage at the Glastonbury festival yesterday to perform a number of his hit songs and have a good time with the audience, however, it seems that some fans were there for entirely different reasons.

A particular festival goer took out time to make an inflated flag containing a picture of Kim Kardashian-West in a very intimate position with then boyfriend, Ray J. Of course, the still is taking from Kim K's now infamous sex tape.

Kim Kardashian was actually present during Kanye West's perfromance.  She hasn't made a statement about the flag though.  The question is; did she see the flag?

President Buhari May not Name Ministers until September

President Muhammadu Buhari may not name ministers till September

According to PUNCH on Sunday that Buhari would not form any cabinet until the “rot left behind by the past administration” is cleared.

“Mr. President is reluctant to build on a rotten foundation he inherited from the Peoples Democratic Party administration. You cannot even begin to imagine the situation we have met on the ground; almost everything is in a state of decay. There is absolutely no way the new government can hope to achieve anything long-lasting without first building a new foundation,” the source said.

The source added that clearing the PDP rot was not a month’s job and said those that had been heckling the President over lack of cabinet were politicians looking for jobs.
“They have tried doing it other ways and those haven’t worked. They only want their cronies appointed to ministerial posts anyhow and they are fuelling the agitation,” the source said.
He also said Buhari was taking his time to know the ministries that would survive government’s planned pruning and the desire to cut cost of governance.

The source likened President Buhari’s plan of action to that of a doctor, who first has to break a poorly set bone afresh, before resetting it to allow for smooth and proper growth.

Over the past week, Buhari has come under criticism because he had yet to appoint his cabinet members, despite having more than three months since his election, including a month since his inauguration.

The President was sworn in on May 29, exactly one month ago today.

Responding to the criticism, the source pointed out that it would be impossible to appoint ministers to portfolios without first knowing which portfolios exist and which will be abolished.
“The President plans to cut down the number of ministries and parastatals. He wants to cut down the cost of running government. He wants to make sure that all the loopholes that enable corruption to thrive are blocked. All these are procedures that require time and careful planning. You cannot do it in a rush.
Remember that he has to make sure that all this is done without any job losses or mass retrenchments. All this is not a day’s or one-month job.”

The source also denied news reports which stated that President Buhari’s lack of cabinet appointments had grounded the government, insisting that civil servants had been supervising the day-to-day running of ministries and that Permanent Secretaries of the various ministries all have full access to the President.

The source concluded by referring to the current crisis in the National Assembly as one more reason why forming a cabinet would be impossible until further notice.
“Look at how they are fighting among themselves. The Senate has now adjourned till July 21. That means no one to scrutinise or approve any ministerial list until the end of July,” he submitted.
But when reminded that the Senate had agreed to reconvene to consider the President’s ministerial nominees as soon as such list was ready, the source asked Punch to await the President’s intervention in the crisis between the party and the National Assembly.

“The President wants to walk his talk on stable politics and being a leader for all. He has a plan for the National Assembly,” he said.
When contacted on Sunday, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said the information at the disposal of The PUNCH was “not far from the truth.”
“This narrative is the nearest to the truth than all others that are being peddled around. It is not far from the truth,” Shehu said.

Meanwhile, their correspondents learnt in Abuja on Sunday that Buhari would adopt the recommendation of the Ahmed Joda-led transition committee of the All Progressives Congress to prune down the number of ministries to 19.

The PUNCH learnt that the President would appoint 19 senior ministers and 17 ministers of state as recommended by the Joda committee.

There were 28 ministries and corresponding number of ministers manning them under the immediate past administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. The Jonathan administration also appointed 14 ministers of state.

Former First Lady's aide, Tamuno Jacob Igbomie murdered in Abuja

Police officer, Tamuno Jacob Igbomie, who was Principal Security Officer (PSO) to former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, was shot dead by unknown assailants last Friday on Airport Road, Abuja.
The body of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) was discovered in his Honda Accord car, after gunmen said to be “assassins shot him at a close range in his car”.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, confirmed the killing. He added that investigation has started  to arrest the assailants.

“Yes, a DSP attached to the villa was killed last week Friday. Investigation has started to find out the people behind the murder. No arrest has been made yet,” Ojukwu said yesterday.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Anjuguri Manzah, said the FCT Commissioner of Police, Wilson Inalegwu, had ordered an investigation into the tragic incident.

A police source said his body “was found early in the morning. But surprisingly, all his phones, wallet and other personal belongings were intact in the car, which engine was left running”.

It was learnt that the late Igbomie, who hailed from Okrika, Bayelsa State, served at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command before being deployed to the Presidential Villa as Patience’s  Aide-De-Camp (ADC) when Jonathan was the vice president.
“He was later appointed as the PSO to Patience when her husband became the President,” the source said.
Another source added: “Tamuno must have been killed by hired assassins because they did not steal anything from his car. We met his phones and wallet with him when his body was found in the car with the engine running.
“He was shot in the night and his body was found early in the morning. We don’t know if he was killed over a business transaction or disagreement with someone.”

It was gathered that  the late police officer was just redeployed to the FCT Police Command.

Refund Overpaid Salaries, Presidency Orders VC, Registrar Of Federal University Of Otuoke

The Presidency, through the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, has instructed the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko, to refund over payment of salaries running into millions of naira.

The Registrar of the university, David Suowari, was also directed to refundthe sum of N130, 692.71 per month in excess of his due salary.

The over payments were said to have been discovered during the commission’s visit to the institution on May 12, 2015 to carry out an inspection of FUO’s remuneration practices vis-a-vis the extant government’s pay policy.

The VC and the registrar were accused of appropriating certain allowances to themselves which were not approved by the government.

These concerns were raised in a letter from the NSIWC to Aluko, signed for the Chairman of the Commission by the Director of Compensation, Chike Ogbechie.
The commission said,

“The findings of the inspection in respect of your institution (Federal University, Otuoke) were as follow:
“The Vice-Chancellor was being paid total emoluments of N1,970,476.76 monthly, whereas he should not earn more than N922,810.23 if he were paid furniture allowance en bloc earlier, or N1,043,176.79 if he were being paid furniture allowance.
“Much of the difference was attributed to certain allowances which were not approved by the government.”
In the case of the registrar, the commission said he was being paid N130,692.71 in excess of his due salary of N502,580.25.
The commission also said the university disaggregated its staff salaries against the government’s policy of pay consolidation.
The NSIWC, therefore, directed the university to stop “the wrongful practices” and comply with relevant rules and rates.
The commission added,
“We hereby direct the vice-chancellor and the registrar to refund the cumulative overpayments made to them.
“You are to report to the commission in writing, your compliance with this directive within four weeks of this letter.”
Prof. Mobolaji Aluko became the Vice-Chancellor of the university in February 2011 and he said (in a text message to our Punch correspondent) that there was neither disaggregation of salaries nor overpayment of salaries. The vice-chancellor said,
“Rather, pension and health insurance allowances were due to three of us, Diaspora Vice-Chancellors who are on Sabbatical from our foreign universities, and co-paid monthly in naira to us for payment to those foreign universities.
“Without that concession occurring, our own local salaries would have been wiped out completely, and we could not have accepted the job.”
“However, the need for accountability is welcome, and Salaries and Wages Commission will be fully reconciled to the full facts,” the VC stated

President Buhari Traces Looted Funds to UK, Switzerland, Others

Buhari Traces Looted Funds to UK, Switzerland, Others
The Federal Government has started tracing looted Nigerian funds to foreign nations with the aim of recovering and repatriating them. This move came on the heels of the declaration by President Muhammadu Buhari on his first day in Aso Villa office that he inherited an almost empty treasury from his predecessor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, thus vowing that his administration would recover all the looted funds stashed in foreign banks by corrupt Nigerians.

The FG is now specifically targeting the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland and other European jurisdictions where it believes corrupt officials have been stashing public funds.

“The next three months may be hard, but billions of dollars can be recovered, and we will do our best,”
the President was quoted as saying in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.

Some of the countries where looted funds from Nigeria have been kept in the past include Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Others are France, Germany, British Virgin Islands and other tax havens spread across the globe.

Adesina, who confirmed the move in an exclusive interview with Saturday PUNCH on Thursday, said, the search for the looted funds will not be limited to these countries but anywhere in the world where they may be hidden. And that the Federal Government is planning to engage the services of foreign private investigators to help trace and find looted funds belonging to the people of Nigeria.

“Everything that needs to be done to get all those funds repatriated will be done, including engaging private investigators,” the Presidential spokesperson added.

Adesina said the identification of foreign banks being used to stash stolen funds was one of the mandates given to Buhari during a meeting he had with President Barak Obama at the recent G-7 summit in Germany.

He said, “When the President met with the G7, the promise that the American President gave him was that Nigeria should just provide all the facts, the figures, the statistics, including the banks. He promised that if Nigeria could make the information available, then the US will help in recovering the stolen funds.”

When asked specifically if the Federal Government had started identifying the banks, the presidential spokesman said:

“Yes. In fact, the President said the government will spend the next three months identifying banks, individuals and monies that have been ferried out of this country.
“The assurance the President has given is that within the next three months, we have to concentrate on getting those monies back to the government coffers,” he added.

Saturday PUNCH learnt that the Federal Government may also go after property owned by public fund looters in London, Dubai, US, Saudi Arabia and other choice international real estate markets where Nigerians are known to be some of the biggest buyers. It was also learnt that the Department for International Development, a UK government department responsible for administering overseas aid, had alerted the President on over N1.3tn stolen during the last administration, where it is kept and who the beneficiaries are. This money, a source close to the DFID said, is a low hanging fruit that the President can pluck during his first six months in the office with the help of the UK, US, and other G7 members without hassle.

“This was one of the agreement reached between President Buhari and the G7 countries when the former attended their meeting in Germany,” the DFID source told Saturday PUNCH.

The US in March 2014 had ordered a freeze on $458m in assets stolen by the late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, and his accomplices. Abacha died in office in 1998. The US Justice Department named two bank accounts in the Bailiwick of Jersey and two other accounts in France as depositories of $313m and $145m Abacha loot respectively. Four other investment portfolios and three bank accounts in Britain were also frozen, with an estimated value of at least $100m. The US also named nine financial institutions – Citibank, Chase Manhattan Bank and Morgan Guaranty Trust Company, now JPMorgan Chase, and New York-based units of Britain’s Barclays Bank and Germany’s Commerz bank – as places where some of the Abacha loots were laundered. Similarly, the Crown Prosecution Service in the United Kingdom had estimated former governor of Delta State, James Onanefe Ibori’s loot stolen to be around $250m. Ibori, who is serving jail term for corruption charges in a UK prison, was said to have bought six property in London, including a six-bedroom house with indoor pool in Hampstead for £2.2m and a flat opposite the nearby Abbey Road recording studios.

There was also a property in Dorset, a £3.2m mansion in South Africa and further real estate in Nigeria. He also owned a fleet of armoured Range Rovers costing £600,000, a £120,000 Bentley, a £300,000 Mercedes Maybach, and a private jet for £12m.

President Buhari said the last administration mismanaged the economy while stating that it was a disgrace that state governments in the country can’t pay salaries; hence, the need to recover looted funds wherever they may be hidden.

Pregnant Woman, Angie Houston Claims To Have Been Raped By A Pig

Angie Houston recently told Ellis County News that she expects to give birth to a baby pig.Houston alleges that one night she came home from a night of playing miniature golf and was pounced on and raped by a 400lb boar named Pete.

“People think I’m crazy and need mental help because of my story,” Houston said.
“They ask how’d the pig get my panties off to mount me? I wasn’t wearing any panties is how! This pig been hot for me for years. Constantly sniffing at my genitals. He’s tried to rape me a hundred times. This is just the first time he successfully got inside me.”

Angie’s parents are supporting her claims.

“Angie knows she can’t have sex until she’s married and she promises she hasn’t,” her father, Don Houston, said.
“Pete’s always been an ornery pig, so it’s not surprising he raped our daughter. After this incident, I butchered Pete out. The bacon I made him into is helping feed Angela and her baby; after all, she’s eating for two now and needs a lot of extra meat.”

Angie has refused to see an obstetrician to check her and the baby’s health or get a sonogram to see what the potential “pig baby” might look like.

“I just want to wait and be surprised by what my baby looks like,” Angie said.
“My hope is that that it’s not a mutant pig of some kind and it just comes out looking like a normal human baby, which I feel, will be the case.

5 Ex-Governors Get EFCC Invitation For Alleged Corruption

5 Ex-Governors Get EFCC Invitation For Alleged Corruption
Five former governors seem not be enjoying their retirement from office as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has beam its searchlight on their activities when they were their state chief executives.

These governors having exhausted their immunity from prosecution, have now become regular guests of the EFCC where they are answering questions bordering on their alleged misdeeds while in office.According Leadership, these are the former governors that are under EFCC watch list.

                          Murtala Nyako

Former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako,73, has not been having happy moment since he was impeached by the Adamawa State House of Assembly on allegation of misappropriation of state fund.

Following his impeached, he was declared wanted by EFCC alongside his son, Abdul Aziz Murtala Nyako, in February this year. Before the anti-graft agency could begin his prosecution, he allegedly flee the country. Nyako and his son are wanted for alleged criminal conspiracy, stealing, money laundering and abuse of office. After returning from his self-imposed exile,he turns himself in for the EFCC to question him on the allegation of money laundering to the tune of N15billion. He was grilled for hours and later released because of his age and his health situation.

Nyako had earlier said that his prosecution by the EFCC was a witch-hunt and selective justice instituted by the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. At the time being, the EFCC has not disclosed it next line of action on this case.

                          Sule Lamido

The immediate past governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, whose son has been having a running battle with EFCC on allegation of money laundering was invited by the agency some weeks back. He honours the invitation and was questioned for hours.

Lamido came under EFCC watch for allegedly awarding contracts running to billions to companies link to his family members. At the stand now, the commission has not arraigned on these charges.

                       Timipre Sylva

Ex-governor of Bayelsa State and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timipre Sylva, is currently face prosecution instituted by the ant-graft commission. He is facing a six-count criminal charge for an alleged illegal diversion of state’s fund during his tenure.

The count includes the disappearance of N6.5 billion from the state’s coffer between October 2009 and February, 2010. Sylva international passport is still held by the court to avoid the governor to ‘jump’ bail. The bail amount that was granted by the court is N100 million with a surety with property in Abuja worth same amount .

Though another 42-count charge in an Abuja High Court, which it was alleged that he made away with the state fund totaling N19.2 billion was dismissed in controversial manner. But the ex-governor is not totally free from the EFCC as the commission is making sure that all charges against the governor is brought to a conclusive end.

 Martin Elechi

Former Ebonyi state governor, Martin Elechi, is not left out in the EFCC watch list. The 74 years Martin was invited on Tuesday, June 16 by the commission to explain his part in the alleged theft of millions of naira in the a asphalt contract for the state’s 13 local government areas.

The contract was said to have been poorly executed and the contract was allegedly awarded to the former governer’s son, Elechi Nnanna Elechi. Aside of this allegation, the septuagenarian is also said to be asked to explain all he knows about misappropriation of funds provided to be used for centenary celebration.

The former governor has not been arraigned on these allegations yet, but it seem EFCC is gathering enough facts on this.

                         Ikedi Ohakim

The former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, also is facing hard time with EFCC as he was arrested about 8am in his Asokoro residence, Abuja, on Thursday, June 18, by the operatives of the commission. Ohakim was arrested over properties he allegedly acquired which the anti-graft agency had traced to his name.

Also, the cases brought against him include alleged misappropriation of N18bn bond loans obtained on behalf of Imo State government. He was charged with an alleged withdrawal of about N1 billion from the state account a day before he left office as governor.

The ex-governor arrests follow his failure to honor a earlier invitation that was extended to him the agency. He has been arrested, interrogated and later released but as it stands he does not know what may be his fate at the end of the day.

According to Punch, the boy putting on a school uniform of Moslem Comprehensive Junior School, identified as Ope, at about 4pm while returning from school on his bicycle on wednesday was crushed to death. The policeman who drove the vehicle, said to be an officer attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, was said to have abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene when he saw that the boy had died.

A mob, which gathered at the scene, was said to have set the policeman’s vehicle ablaze, and also protested against the policeman’s action, leading to shop owners closing their shops, while pedestrians hurriedly fled the area.

A resident, who claimed to have witnessed the incident, Saheed Ajala, said policemen from the Obalende division later came to remove the boy’s corpse. Saheed added that no one in the area could immediately identify the name or address of the victim.

He said, “The boy was riding a bicycle by the roadside; he was on his way home. The policeman’s vehicle threw him against a culvert, and he died instantly. The policeman wore a black T-shirt with SARS written on it. He fled the scene on seeing that the boy was dead.
“A crowd of sympathisers gathered at the scene and lamented the reckless driving of the policeman. Later, some policemen came and made efforts to take the car away, but the mob frustrated them.
“They destroyed the vehicle and set it ablaze. There was commotion on the road as residents fled, and shop owners quickly locked their shops.”

One of the shop owners in the area, who declined to give her name, said the burnt vehicle was still at the junction as of Thursday.

She said, “The burnt vehicle is still at the junction. We don’t know if the boy’s family members have shown up at the police division.”

A teacher at the Moslem school, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told punch correspondent that Ope was in Junior Secondary School two before his untimely death. As a matter of fact, everybody was sad in the school today (Thursday).”

I Will Kill More - Cultist Who Drowned Friend Threatens

Suspected Cultist Any Olokodana threatens to kill more
A suspected cultist, Anu Olokodana, who is wanted by the police in Lagos for allegedly killing his friend, Adeleke Awosiga, has reportedly threatened to unleash terror on residents of his area.

According to Reports on Tuesday , Olokodana said to be a member of the Buccaneers Confraternity, drowned a childhood friend, Awosiga, in a swimming pool at the Royal Hotel in the Isheri, Ojodu Berger area of Lagos during a birthday party. Cause of the killing, which took place on Saturday, June 13, was because Awosiga, 20, refused to join the cult group.

On Tuesday, Punch Metro visited the Famuyiwa, Mowe area, where the deceased and the suspect lived. It was learnt that Olokodana, who was still in hiding with members of his cult group, had made calls to some residents, threatening to mobilise his cult group to kill more people. A resident, who gave his name only as Rashidi, told our correspondent that Olokodana called, saying his gang was not afraid of the police. He was quoted to have said the cult members were planning to come back for residents who narrated

Awosiga’s killing to the press. He was quoted as saying,

“We are not a cult group that fights and cannot come back. We are coming back to kill more people. You have the guts to go and put me on the newspaper.”

The two cult members, who were arrested by the police the day after Awosiga’s killing, had come to spy on the area when they were apprehended by residents. A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Awosiga was the third person in the area who the cultists would kill in recent times for refusing to join their group.

He said, “The second day after the man was killed was a Sunday. In the afternoon, we saw two young men entering a church near Awosiga’s family house. They were dressed in Yellow shirts and caps. They were caught eavesdropping on people’s conversations.
“When we challenged them, they attempted to run away, but the residents rounded them up and took them to the Mowe Police Station.
“The cult group’s threats are very real. Awosiga is the third person they would kill in the Mowe area for refusing to join their group. They have hideouts in the Lotto area, and they boasted that even the police could not arrest them. The birthday party that Olokodana held was actually their yearly anniversary and they must kill someone at the party to mark the event.”

At the Awosiga’s family house, the deceased’s mother, Ololade, told our correspondent that her son was not a violent child, adding that the police should investigate the matter, and bring the culprits to book.

She said, “He is my second son. After he finished secondary school, he learnt how to lay tiles so he could work and save money to gain admission for further studies. He and his boss were going to several places to work in Ogun and Lagos states. “He was not a violent boy. I cannot express my sorrow. I lost his father about 10 years ago. My children have been my succour. I want the police to fish out his killers

The woman who lives in Korogocho, a slum in Nairobi, is said to have have slit open her week-old son’s stomach, removed his intestines and ate them before going to her friend’s house and killing two other children. The friend, Nelius Muthoni, told the police that the vampire woman came to her house in the morning and attacked her by trying to strangle her.

“She kept asking me why I named my son Peter Kimani and asked if I knew that my mother-in-law had been eating me. She said a lot of things and even said that there were demons inside me. I ran out of the house to seek help from neighbours and when they arrived, they found her holding my 10-days-old son by the neck and under her feet was my 4-year-old daughter. She was stepping on her neck. The neighbours pushed her out of the house and tried to help the children but they were announced dead at a nearby clinic."

When she was pushed out of the house, the woman is said to have run to the Korogocho Administration Police post where she reported that she had killed her child. A police officer said:

“As we were interrogating her, neighbours who learnt that Muthoni’s children had died, also came here. They wanted to beat her but we shielded her."

A neighbour who was at the police post said the woman did not seem shaken and even asked for a soda at some point. The police have also concluded plans to take her for a medical examination to ascertain her state of mental health.

Chinese Man Escapes Unharmed After Huge Saw Blade Slices Truck
A man in China is counting his lucky stars after a huge saw blade came crashing onto a highway and right into his car, and he survived.

The man, identified only as Mr. Xiang, was driving on Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway in Central China when the giant circular saw blade fell of the back of a truck carrying equipment in a nearby lane. The blade flew into Mr. Xiang's car and lodged in the front of his truck. Xiang managed to keep control of the vehicle and walked away unhurt.

"I heard a 'bang' and then I saw all the white smoke in front of me. I almost lost control of my car,” Xiang told local reporters the day after the incident.

Police said that if Xiang had been driving faster or if the blade had hit at a slightly different angle, he could have been killed.

Uganda's 'ugliest' man becomes a dad for the 8th time (Photos)

Godfrey Baguma

A man who was officially named 'Uganda's Ugliest Man' Godfrey Baguma, 47, has welcomed his 8th child with his second wife, Kate Namanda,, who he married in 2013. This will be Godfrey and Kate's 6th child together, he has two children with his ex-wife who he divorced after he caught her cheating.

Kate,30, gave birth to a baby girl earlier this week for Godfrey, who has a rare, unknown medical condition. Her first child for him was in 2008. Speaking on how they met, began dating and had children, Godfrey told Uganda's KFM:
‘I stayed with her four years before her people knew where she was. I didn’t want them to see me until we had a child because they'd definitely advise her to leave me. She left me when she was six months pregnant but I think she later accepted her fate because she came back two months later. I told her that I didn’t choose to look the way I do and that if she feels I am a burden, she is free to leave me’.
