Charly boy pens open letter to Buhari

 Mr. President Sir,
Once again I am compelled to voice out my bewilderment at the stumbling and wobbly kind of governance we have had since you came onboard.
I wonder what you are doing right now.
I wonder if our tears, pains and hopelessness affect you in anyway.
I wonder if you are the one in charge or some other people.

You have tasted leadership before and you know what it entails. I understand that. However, then and now are two different scenarios, two separate dispensations.
We know you.
We know about your war against indiscipline.
We hear about your no-nonsense stand against corruption.
We have read so much about our stolen monies which you have managed to recover. Well done sha.
Meanwhile, the nagging questions that leave me sleepless most nights remain unanswered…
How much money have you collected from the looters so far?
To what use have the monies been put?
From where I stand, it seems you’re the only one in your cabinet fighting corruption while your praise singers are busy washing you all over town trying to convince us that you’re a good man.
I, CharlyBoy, know that you are a “good” man: someone who loves the country, a patriot with a high sense of morals perhaps. But na that one we go chop? Is that all that is needed to fix the rot of over 40yrs.?
I don’t think so!
To a great degree, Nigeria has become a terribly dysfunctional society.
I didn’t vote in the last elections because I just tire with the kalokalo leadership so far. Even when a lot of people wanted change, I wondered what manner of change could come when in our history we never really struggled for anything.
Before you sat on that chair, I proclaimed that Nigeria would only survive under a benevolent dictator; one with lots of selfless love for the country and is willing to lay down his life, one who would deal mercilessly with all those who have ruined our land.
A lot of people thought I was talking about you.
From Boko Haram to Niger Delta Avengers. MASSOB, OPC, to Biafran Avengers, name it, the list is endless.
Mr President Sir, you ought to, as a matter of urgency, review your approach to handling issues because, sometimes diplomacy works better. Excessive force will only breed more discontentment. Take it from me.
Your mark of fair play must cut across board, you must not leave room for us to second-guess your intentions biko, and you must at all times convey clarity of purpose.
It is not possible (or I should say it is unbelievable) that you can’t see that we are swimming in the river of chaos.
It is funny because, those who feel insulated and protected by the State will discover that they are mere sitting ducks!
Just because say boys dey vex!
Putting Nigeria together will take a lot more than childish, nonsensical propaganda.
It will take more than prayers, more than just being a good guy.
Being good is important but not as important as being a no-nonsense ass-kicker; person wey no send, because many things don scatter.
I don’t care if you’re trying to convert all of us to Islam, I don’t care if everyone in your cabinet is your in-law, brother, sister, tribesman, cook, steward or even your MaiGuard.
On behalf of all the frustrated youths in this country, all we need is a leader who can fix things, not the one that comes with excuses.
A leader who is not afraid to admit that he has no clue to certain matters but willing to learn spot on and hands on.
A leader who can’t be comfortable with praise singers.
A leader who is troubled by the cry of poverty-ridden Nigerians.
A leader who can raise our hope once again in our battered country.
A leader who can make us start believing in our Nigeria again.
Oga Presido, do sometin o, boys are vexing!

22 Colombian schoolgirls suffer 'mass demonic possession' after playing popular game (Watch Video)

22 schoolgirls suffered 'mass demonic possession' after apparently summoning an evil spirit while playing a game of 'Charlie Charlie'.

The girls aged between 12 and 15 took ill in the Choco region of Colombia and were filmed screaming and writhing on the floor in some chilling footage.

Other victims began foaming at the mouth while experiencing hallucinations and another even claimed she could see a 'man dressed in black'.

According to Colombian television network Caracol, the girls were taken to a medical centre in Novita where they had to be restrained while fitting.

The schoolgirls, who were all found to be suffering the same symptoms, first experienced seizures while at school after they had finished playing a game of 'Charlie Charlie'.

The game, involves two pencils balanced on top of each other over a grid with the words 'yes' and 'no'.

A number of medical tests were conducted and doctors ruled out the possibility of disease, intoxication or use of hallucinogenic substances.

No consistent health problems were detected and the girls' vital signs eventually returned to normal.

Local mayor Deyler Camacho spoke to villagers following the incident and asked them to remain calm. Meanwhile, a local pastor has started praying against witchcraft.

''I'm fed up with the scrutiny and body shaming'-Jennifer Aniston pens powerful open letter to the media

Jennifer Aniston has confirmed she is not pregnant but admits she hopes to become a mother “one day”.
In a open letter titled ‘For The Record’ on the Huffington Post website, the star said she did not like the way women were being portrayed and blasted sections of the media who are obsessed with her life and alleged pregnancy. She wrote
Let me start by saying that addressing gossip is something I have never done.  I don’t like to give energy to the business of lies, but I wanted to participate in a larger conversation that has already begun and needs to continue. Since I’m not on social media, I decided to put my thoughts here in writing.
For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up. I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of “journalism,” the “First Amendment” and “celebrity news.”
Every day my husband and I are harassed by dozens of aggressive photographers staked outside our home who will go to shocking lengths to obtain any kind of photo, even if it means endangering us or the unlucky pedestrians who happen to be nearby. But setting aside the public safety aspect, I want to focus on the bigger picture of what this insane tabloid ritual represents to all of us.
If I am some kind of symbol to some people out there, then clearly I am an example of the lens through which we, as a society, view our mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, female friends and colleagues. The objectification and scrutiny we put women through is absurd and disturbing. The way I am portrayed by the media is simply a reflection of how we see and portray women in general, measured against some warped standard of beauty. Sometimes cultural standards just need a different perspective so we can see them for what they really are — a collective acceptance... a subconscious agreement.

We are in charge of our agreement. Little girls everywhere are absorbing our agreement, passive or otherwise. And it begins early. The message that girls are not pretty unless they’re incredibly thin, that they’re not worthy of our attention unless they look like a supermodel or an actress on the cover of a magazine is something we’re all willingly buying into. This conditioning is something girls then carry into womanhood. We use celebrity “news” to perpetuate this dehumanizing view of females, focused solely on one’s physical appearance, which tabloids turn into a sporting event of speculation. Is she pregnant? Is she eating too much? Has she let herself go? Is her marriage on the rocks because the camera detects some physical “imperfection”?
I used to tell myself that tabloids were like comic books, not to be taken seriously, just a soap opera for people to follow when they need a distraction. But I really can’t tell myself that anymore because the reality is the stalking and objectification I’ve experienced first-hand, going on decades now, reflects the warped way we calculate a woman’s worth.
This past month in particular has illuminated for me how much we define a woman’s value based on her marital and maternal status. The sheer amount of resources being spent right now by press trying to simply uncover whether or not I am pregnant (for the bajillionth time... but who’s counting) points to the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if they’re not married with children. In this last boring news cycle about my personal life there have been mass shootings, wildfires, major decisions by the Supreme Court, an upcoming election, and any number of more newsworthy issues that “journalists” could dedicate their resources towards.

Here’s where I come out on this topic: we are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child. We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone. Let’s make that decision for ourselves and for the young women in this world who look to us as examples. Let’s make that decision consciously, outside of the tabloid noise. We don’t need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own “happily ever after” for ourselves.

I have grown tired of being part of this narrative. Yes, I may become a mother some day, and since I’m laying it all out there, if I ever do, I will be the first to let you know. But I’m not in pursuit of motherhood because I feel incomplete in some way, as our celebrity news culture would lead us all to believe. I resent being made to feel “less than” because my body is changing and/or I had a burger for lunch and was photographed from a weird angle and therefore deemed one of two things: “pregnant” or “fat.” Not to mention the painful awkwardness that comes with being congratulated by friends, coworkers and strangers alike on one’s fictional pregnancy (often a dozen times in a single day).
From years of experience, I’ve learned tabloid practices, however dangerous, will not change, at least not any time soon. What can change is our awareness and reaction to the toxic messages buried within these seemingly harmless stories served up as truth and shaping our ideas of who we are. We get to decide how much we buy into what’s being served up, and maybe some day the tabloids will be forced to see the world through a different, more humanized lens because consumers have just stopped buying the bullshit.

Toddler Liam suffered more than 30 external injuries when he was beaten to death by his mother Rachel Fee, 31, and her partner Nyomi Fee, 29, at their home near Glenrothes, Fife, east Scotland.

The couple, who were convicted last week of the shocking murder following a seven-week trial, were today both sentenced to life in prison by Judge Lord Burns at the High Court in Edinburgh, Daily Mail reports.

Horrific pics-New mum battered by partner

These are the horrific injuries inflicted on a new mum by her violent partner while their baby daughter lay just feet away.
Ashley Gebbie had given birth just three weeks earlier when boyfriend Alan Crozier came home and attacker her in the early hours of the morning.
Her devastated family posted shocking pictures of her injuries on social media to shame the thug.
A family source told the Daily Record :
“What kind of guy does this to a tiny 6st girl three weeks after giving birth by Caesarean section?”
Crozier is facing jail after he admitted seizing Ashley by the hair, pushing her to the ground, punching her head and grabbing her by the neck at their Wishaw home.
He only stopped beating the mum when she picked up their baby daughter.
The Facebook pictures of Ashley’s injuries come with the message:
“Please share and let everyone know what a violent, low-down scumbag Alan Crozier is.
“Violently attacking and causing serious injuries to Ashley while their three-week-old daughter was present.”
Last month, Hamilton Sheriff Court heard that Crozier, who had been in a relationship with Ashley for 13 months, left for work at 9am on July 17 but did not return home until about 2.30am the next day.
When Ashley, who had been very worried, asked Crozier, 33, where he had been, he flew off the handle and started attacking her.

Fiscal depute Callum Forsyth told the court that Ashley, fearing for her life, bit Crozier and ran from the bedroom into the living room, where she picked up the baby in a desperate bid to stop the beating.
She called police and Crozier left, saying he wouldn’t be coming back and that he would kill himself.
He was arrested a few days later at a relative’s home in Glasgow.
Defence lawyer Diarmid Bruce told the court that Crozier had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but had not taken his medication for two years as he had been in “a good place” in his relationship.
Crozier, who was remanded in custody, is due to be sentenced for the assault this month. Ashley’s family hope he is banged up for a long time.
