 His wife, Priscilla after having series of miscarriages in the past is expecting a baby girl soon, and Mark has this to say:- Priscilla and I have some exciting news:

 we're expecting a baby girl! This will be a new chapter in our lives. We've already been so fortunate for the opportunity to touch people's lives around the world -- Cilla as a doctor and educator, and me through this community and philanthropy. Now we'll focus on making the world a better place for our child and the next generation. We want to share one experience to start. We've been trying to have a child for a couple of years and have had three miscarriages along the way. You feel so hopeful when you learn you're going to have a child. You start imagining who they'll become and dreaming of hopes for their future. You start making plans, and then they're gone. It's a lonely experience. Most people don't discuss miscarriages because you worry your problems will distance you or reflect upon you -- as if you're defective or did something to cause this. So you struggle on your own. In today's open and connected world, discussing these issues doesn't distance us; it brings us together. It creates understanding and tolerance, and it gives us hope. When we started talking to our friends, we realized how frequently this happened -- that many people we knew had similar issues and that nearly all had healthy children after all. We hope that sharing our experience will give more people the same hope we felt and will help more people feel comfortable sharing their stories as well. Our good news is that our pregnancy is now far enough along that the risk of loss is very low and we are very hopeful. Cilla and our child are both healthy, I'm extremely excited to meet her and our dog Beast has no idea what's coming. In our ultrasound, she even gave me a thumbs up "like" with her hand, so I'm already convinced she takes after me. WHAT ANNOYED THE ANGRY RESIDENTS OF ITU ROAD THE MOST, ACCORDING TO A NEIGHBOUR, “IS THE FACT THAT THE SUSPECT, APART FROM BEING A CLOSE FRIEND OF THE DECEASED, WAS ALSO HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH ONE OF THE LATE DAN’S SISTERS.”

 It was gathered that Onowa, who tried to escape after allegedly killing his friend and dismembering him, was arrested with the aid of a GSM tracking device employed by officers and men of the Police Force. Explaining the incident which led to the gruesome murder of the said barber, who hailed from Uruan Local Government Area, the state Police Commissioner, Mr Gabriel Achibong, said the culprit confessed to have invited his friend to his house and offered him a drink he had already poisoned. Steven said: “At about 3.00am, I decided to kill him. I gave him the first cut, the guy got up; I gave him a second one and he died and I butchered him to parts,” the suspect confessed.
The commissioner, who confirmed that a quarrel had been on for the past two years between the ‘butcher’ and his victim, even as their case file was still with the SARS department of the command, said the police were successful in tracking down the culprit through the assistance of his landlord, who kept contacting him on phone, as the police kept tracking the calls. “After stabbing him to death, he used matchet to chop off his hands, head and two legs. He packed the parts in a sack, pulled it out of the house to the major street of Itu Road.” Apparently tired of evacuating the corpse to a safer place, he was said to have abandoned the deceased in a bag, removed the vital parts, including his two hands, which he dumped in a place along School Road and the head, which he hid in an abandoned dump site on the same Itu Road.

The suspect, who confessed to the crime, said he had called his victim on phone for an urgent meeting in his house, where he drugged his Orijin beer. According to him, when the late Dan arrived, his killer entertained him with the drugged beer and it was not long before the deceased dosed off, giving his killer the opportunity to tie him, before stabbing him to death. The suspect’s landlord, Mr Celestine George, who spoke to journalists at the police headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, said the police was called after the incident was reported and he had to put a call to the suspect and demanded for the balance of his rent. The suspect said he was about travelling and that he was with the balance which he would pay me before travelling. I then asked him to meet me at Itam junction, within the premises of a church where I had already told the SARS men to lay ambush for him. “I kept calling him until he arrived at the premises of the church where I tricked him to. He came in a car with three armed mobile policemen and I hinted the men of the SARS formation, who had laid ambush for him within the premises and he was apprehended and handcuffed.

“The three mobile policemen were eventually overpowered by the SARS men and the suspect was arrested and taken to the police headquarters at Ikot Akpanabia,” he said. What annoyed the angry residents of Itu Road the most, according to a neighbour, “is the fact that the suspect, apart from being a close friend of the deceased, was also having an affair with one of the late Dan’s sisters.” He disclosed that such close relationship led to the suspect opening a barbing salon for his victim along Urua Ekpa Road. When interrogated by newsmen, Onowa claimed to have killed his victim for daring to raise his voice at him over his N750,000 he had refused to account for. He said: “We reported the matter to SARS about two years ago and he agreed on a timeframe to pay up the N750,000. Till today, he has refused to pay the money, so when I invited him to my house that day, he started shouting at and getting angry with me, so I killed him. I am not dealing in body parts. I only cut him to pieces to be able to carry him,” the suspect added.

Baby Stolen At Naming Ceremony In Ritualist's Custody (Photos)

The father of Opeyemi Ogundele, who was allegedly stolen at a christening ceremony in Ogun State on Sunday, said his child is still alive in the den of suspected kidnappers.

 Daniel Ogundele (The father) said as at 10:00pm on Monday when he allegedly had a phone conversation with an If a priest, Chief Olansile Ifayemi, who was accused of masterminding the mysterious disappearance of the child has told him that his missing toddler was alive in his custody. The baby was said to have been kidnapped about 1:30pm at the christening organised by the family of Mr. Olusola Osunleke for their newborn daughter. In the process of searching for the baby, residents discovered a suspected ritualist’ den in the area, which was adjacent to Osunleke’s house.
The discovery made angry residents to storm the area and vandalise the building, wherein human body parts, human effigy, fetish objects and masquerade regalia, among others, were found. But speaking yesterday, the father of the missing toddler, said he succeeded in reaching Chief Ifayemi on telephone on Monday night. Ogundele stated that the Ifa priest confirmed that the “stolen baby” was in his custody at Isabo area of Abeokuta and that the child was alive.

 “We got his phone number and called him on Monday night . The priest said my child was still alive and with him at Isabo. He claimed that he was in Isabo area of Abeokuta. This was around 10 pm on Monday. He said nothing is wrong with my boy. He just asked us to stop people from destroying his house,” he said.

 When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, said he was not aware of the claims of the toddler’s father that the baby was with the suspected ritualist. Meanwhile, residents of the area where the incident occurred have cried out for help over alleged threat by the suspected mastermind of the kidnapping. Vanguard gathered that, the Chairman of the Community Development Association in the area, Kunle Ojewale said he and three others in the community have been threatened by Ifayemi. Ojewale who spoke with newsmen on phone said he had run away from home and relocated to Mowe in Obafemi-Owode local government. He said, Chief Ifayemi had called his line and threatened him for instigating the people against him. He said he had since relocated to an undisclosed place in Mowe area. It was also leant that as 6:30 pm on Tuesday, the house suspected to be the ritualist den has been demolished by the angry youth in the area.

Newcastle are poised to complete the £8.5million signing of Anderlecht defender Chancel Mbemba, but doubts remain about the player’s age. The Magpies will sign the Congolese international on the understanding he is 20 years old. However, it has long since been reported that Mbemba has four birthdays, ranging from 1988 to 1995. Mbemba once stated in an interview that he believed his birthday was around 1990, which would make him 25. The centre back began his career in his homeland, where his date of birth was registered as August 8, 1988.

By the time he came to sign for Anderlecht in 2012, his new birthday was stated as August 8, 1995. However, during qualifying for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, Congo registered him as a November 30, 1991 birth. And to add to the confusion, Mbemba himself has been quoted as saying he was born in 1990. Newcastle, however, are said to be relaxed about the situation surrounding a player they regard as the best defender in the Belgian Jupiler League. A 40 year old Melbourne, Australia, woman who had a sexual relationship with her child's 12-year-old friend, spanning a period of five months, will spend at least six years in prison after she gave birth to the boy's child.

 The woman who has been jailed on charges of child abuse, was said to be having unprotected sex with the boy at least once a week over the period. The woman who cannot be named, was sentenced at the Victorian County Court after she had pleaded guilty to the persistent sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16 over her relationship with the boy, who was her daughter's friend.

 She however admitted she started developing feelings for the boy and began a sexual relationship with him. In May of 2014, the woman gave birth to a girl after telling the boy she thought the baby was his. The boy's mother visited the woman in hospital to support her but was unaware her son was the father and she was the grandmother. Shortly afterwards the boys' parents found out about the relationship and confronted the woman and reported her to police and a DNA test confirmed the boy is the baby's father.
 In sentencing her, the angry judge lashed out at her:

 "You failed to recognize that your feelings for the boy were completely inappropriate. You commenced and continued an abusive sexual relationship. You have allowed your physical and emotional urges overcome what should have been the proper adult response."

American Dentist Paid $55,000 To Kill Zimbabwe Famous Lion

 Cecil the lion, a famous black-maned resident of Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park, died at the hands of an American dentist, conservationists report.
They say Walter Palmer paid $55,000 to hunt and kill Cecil with a bow and arrow. The incident occurred around July 6, with a professional hunting outfit reportedly luring Cecil outside the boundaries of the protected reserve using a dead animal as bait.

“Mr. Palmer shot Cecil with a bow and arrow but this shot didn't kill him,” Johnny Rodrigues, chairman of the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force, said in a statement. “They tracked him down and found him 40 hours later when they shot him with a gun. Cecil, who was known all over the world would have earned millions of dollars just from sightseeing. Walter Palmer apparently paid $55,000 for the kill."

It wasn’t the first kill for Palmer, who has multiple photos posted on the website Trophy Hunt America showing the Minnesota resident posing with dead lions, rhinos, water buffalo, warthogs, and other animals.

“As far as I understand, Walter believes that he might have shot that lion that has been referred to as Cecil,” the spokesperson said. “What he’ll tell you is that he had the proper legal permits and he had hired several professional guides, so he’s not denying that he may be the person who shot this lion. He is a big-game hunter; he hunts the world over.”

Theo Bronkhorst, the professional hunter who led Palmer to Cecil, has reportedly been suspended indefinitely from the Zimbabwe Professional Hunters and Guides Association for the way the hunt was carried out.

“ZPHGA reiterates it will not tolerate any illegal hunting or any unethical practices by any of its members and their staff,” the organization said in a statement. “We will await the completion of the current investigation by Zimbabwe Parks Wildlife Management Authority before commenting any further.”
Park rangers and regular visitors knew the 13-year-old lion as a tourist attraction, easily approached by safari guide jeeps for photo opportunities. Cecil had a propensity for lounging in the middle of roads, said Bryan Orford, a former park guide and a longtime visitor to Hwange. Hunting such an easy target only made the killing of Cecil even more wrong, he said.

“I used to drive down the railway line road following Cecil and had to wait for him to get off the road,” Orford said last week. “This walking in front of the vehicle would go on for ages. Other times he would lie in the road, and you had to drive off the road to go around him.”

The death of Cecil not only means one less endangered African lion in the world but also could mean the demise of a whole line of cubs sired by the leader of the Hwange pride.

“The saddest part of all is that now that Cecil is dead, the next lion in the hierarchy  Jericho will most likely kill all Cecil's cubs so that he can insert his own bloodline into the females,” Rodriques said. “This is standard procedure for lions.”

APC, PDP give Buhari nod to go after looters

President Muhammadu Buhari’s resolve to fight corruption got a major boost yesterday. His party – the All Progressives Congress (APC) – and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had a rare agreement – that Buhari should go after corruption suspects. But the PDP cautioned him “not to victimise innocent citizens”. Some prominent citizens have been arraigned in court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Others are being investigated.

 To the APC, the investigation of those who plundered the nation’s commonwealth and prosecution is necessary to remind future officials that “holding a public office is a call to service”. In a statement issued in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the APC noted that the unfolding revelations, especially in the oil sector, were too serious to be ignored by a forward-looking administration like Buhari’s.

The statement reads: “Some people have insinuated that the Buhari Administration should ignore the massive looting of our patrimony and move on. We say no responsible government can afford to do that, because it will amount to endorsing corruption and impunity.” “In the oil sector alone, billions of dollars have been skimmed off by pathologically-corrupt public officials,”

 the party said, wondering how the government can meet its obligations to the citizens if it refuses to recover the huge funds stolen by officials. The APC went on:

 “It is an irony that those who are suggesting that the Buhari administration should turn a blind eye to the incomprehensible looting are the same ones accusing the government of not doing anything. “It is even a cruel irony that the same party that presided over what is fast emerging as the worst governance in the history of our country is the same one that is daily bad-mouthing an Administration that is cleaning up its mess. “Even if all the acts of corruption that were perpetrated during the tenure of the last administration are limited to what is now in the public domain, it is still absolutely exigent for the Buhari Administration to do all it can to bring the perpetrators to book and recover the looted funds. 

“Where does one start from? Is it the fact that the NNPC (Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation) failed to remit N3.8 trillion to the Federation Account or the mind-blowing stealing of 250,000 barrels of crude oil per day? “Is it the fact that the NNPC itself does not know how many bank accounts it had or into which ones the payments for Nigerian crude are made? Could anyone have imagined that a government minister would steal the unprecedentedly huge amount of $6 billion of public funds as being alleged? “How does any sane person rationalise the fact that one billion dollars was unilaterally and illegally withdrawn from the Excess Crude Account just because, as the immediate past minister of Finance has disclosed, the President ordered the withdrawal? What about the billions of naira waivers recklessly approved to dubious importers by the Jonathan administration?

 “Is it not clear now that the stealing and the profligacy – more than anything else, including the fall in oil price – helped to drastically reduce the monthly allocation from the Federation Account from about N800 billion to about N400 billion, thus pauperising the states and the local governments and, by extension, the citizenry? “Against the background of the stunning revelations, what message will any government be sending to its citizens and indeed the global community by looking the other way, when it could still recover some of the looted funds for the benefit of the people? This is why we are supporting the Buhari administration’s probe decision, and calling on all Nigerians to support ongoing efforts to get to the root of the matter.” 

The ruling party noted that the refusal of the Dr. Goodluck Jonathan administration to pass its handover note to the then president-in-waiting was deliberate.

“The Jonathan administration cleverly delayed giving the then incoming Buhari government the handover note so as to avoid being asked critical questions pertaining to the unprecedented looting under its watch,” the party said.

Emeka Ike Deflowered me And Turned my Kids Against me. Emeka Ike's Wife Cries

Emeka Ike's wife had gone to court, seeking dissolution of their 12-year-old marriage but Emeka failed to show up in court. Emeka's counsel, Abdul’Hakeem Labi-Lawal, said Emeka has not appeared in court because he is ill. He begged the court to give Emeka 6 months to see if there is possibility of settlement between the couple. The wife however said 6 months was too long adding that Emeka had 2 years to reconcile with her but he didn’t.

 “The last time I wanted to speak with our children, it was my mother-in-law who picked the call and asked if I had read Exodus 21 which says that if I go, I shouldn’t return,”  she said.

The wife later told THE NATION that Emeka took her last 2 children from her when she was going for her mother’s burial in February.

“He promised to bring them to me immediately I returned from my mother’s burial but he didn’t. He doesn’t allow me to speak with them anymore. They are now against me," she added. 

She said she left her matrimonial home because she could no longer bear being tortured anymore.

 “If I was still with him, I may not survive. I was 19-year old when I met him and he was the one who deflowered me. I see no reason I shouldn’t be treated with utmost respect. Due to physical torture, my health has been affected. There was even a time I thought I had breast cancer because I felt a lump on one part of my breast,” her words. 

She said things became worse last Sunday when she called Emeka to speak with their children. In tears, she said:

"I almost went mad when my first son told me on phone that if I truly loved them, I wouldn’t have abandoned them. . Even my 7-year-old son whose day wouldn’t be complete without seeing me said he doesn’t love me. I love my children. I miss my children. I never abandoned them. I am in pain. I really need my children. I am a good woman; I endured so many things as his wife."...

Dasuki Denies Arresting Buhari During The 1985 Coup

Embattled former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki has denied arresting President Muhammadu Buhari, shortly after he was overthrown as a Military Head of State in August 1985. He also said he had supported Buhari’s presidential aspiration in 2003, 2007 and 2011. He said he knelt down in 2011 for the former National Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Chief Bisi Akande, to make Buhari a joint candidate of the ACN and the defunct Congress of Peoples Congress (CPC).

 Col. Dasuki made the clarifications in an interview during an encounter with a blogger and the Publisher of the Economic Confidential, Mr. Yushau Shuaib. The piece is titled: “Sambo Dasuki: An Encounter with the spymaster”.
He spoke against the backdrop of insinuations that his house arrest might have to do with a retaliation of a similar maltreatment against Buhari in 1985. The ex-NSA also spoke against the backdrop that he attempted to truncate the election of President Muhammadu Buhari in March and inauguration on May 29. In the extracts of the encounter between the two, Dasuki said:

“I always respect and dignify my seniors and those in positions of authority, whether in service or after. Though as a young officer, I was reluctant to be among those that arrested him. And I was not. “I only met him afterward at Bonny Camp with Lawal Rafindadi. There is no way I could have maltreated him as being alleged in some quarters. I am glad most of the actors are still alive.” 

On the December 1983 coup d’etat, Dasuki admitted that he and two young military officers (who are still alive) ‘travelled to Jos to brief Major General Buhari, who was then the GOC of 3rd Armoured Division on the furtherance of the planning of the 1983 coup which made Buhari the major beneficiary of the ouster of the elected President Shehu Shagari.’ The journalist added:

“He even told me how Buhari expressed his bitterness about insinuations on his stewardship in one of the public institutions. Dasuki assured the then GOC not to worry about such reckless and mischievous insinuations. I asked why he participated in the ouster of Buhari just less than two years afterward. He simply answered that General Buhari should know whom he should blame.”

“The major shocker for me in his narratives was his campaign for Buhari to emerge the joint candidate of ACN and CPC in 2011. He disclosed how he pleaded with Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu in the presence of Bisi Akande to accept Muhammad Buhari as the joint presidential candidate for ACN and CPC. “Dasuki stated that he knelt down, begging ‘Baba Bisi Akande’ who was then the National Chairman of ACN that ‘General Buhari is a man to be trusted’.

“In their belief that Yoruba and South Westerners are never religious fanatics especially regarding politics, Dasuki and his group suggested that Tinubu should be a running mate to Buhari. 

“When other elements opposed that proposition, Tinubu team therefore recommended a Buhari-Osinbajo ticket. Unfortunately, the ticket failed to stick as Pastor Tunde Bakare was eventually pushed forward by other forces.” 

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was later to be Buhari’s running mate in 2015 and the nation’s current Vice President. On the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, which was won by the late Chief M.K.O. Abiola, Dasuki said he was one of those who confronted the late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha. The journalist said:

 “Dasuki told me the story of how he and some others confronted late Gen. Sani Abacha over June 12 election which was won by Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola (MKO). This led to their premature retirement. 

“The persecution that followed forced him into exile where he teamed up with opposition elements struggling for the return of democracy in Nigeria.”

CEO of Zappos, Tony Hsieh has a net worth of $820 million and yet he opted for the simple life by living in a trailer park instead of a mansion. Tony Hsieh, the CEO of Zappos, can afford to buy any type of home that he likes yet he chosed to live a simple lifestyle.

Tony, who is renowned as one of the most frugal millionaires in the business community, chooses to live in a Las Vegas trailer park.

However, the RV lot that the business executive calls home may differ from the the negative stereotypes associated with other trailer parks. The 'trailers' are gorgeous silver Airstream caravans, which retail for $48,000 for a 2013 model. Thirty homes are lined up in a neat row, each with about 200 square feet of space.

And they're home to like minds as the trailer park tends to attract Silicon Valley computer programmers who live in the trailer park temporarily. Units have two TVs, Bluetooth stereo systems and wood paneling, though the size of the showers reportedly makes it difficult for large adults to bathe.

Hsieh has nicknamed his caravan 'Llamapolis' and he shares his trailer with his pet alpaca named Marley. The Airstream Village also includes Tumbleweed Tiny Houses, wooden RVs that have about 130 square feet and do not have couches or kitchen tables.

Dasuki’s aide’s driver gone with $5m cash

What happened to the $5m withdrawn from the National Security Adviser’s account at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)? The cash vanished under former NSA Col. Sambo Dasuki’s watch. This question and more relating to other “curious” withdrawals in the dying days of the former President Goodluck Jonathan administration informed the invasion of Dasuki’s homes by Department of State Security (DSS) at the weekend.

 Although Dasuki has not been linked with any cases of corruption, sources told The Nation yesterday in Abuja that his office was being investigated for alleged questionable withdrawals running into billions of naira. It was gathered that Dasuki, the immediate past NSA to Jonathan, who President Muhammadu Buhari sacked last Monday alongside the Service chiefs, would be quizzed on how a driver to his personal assistant disappeared with $5 million, which was withdrawn from the office’s account with the CBN. The DSS, in a statement issued at the weekend, justified its raid on Dasuki’s home on the suspicion that he was plotting to disturb the peace with the quality and quantity of high caliber weaponry stocked in his Abuja home where bullet proof vehicles were recovered. His father’s house in Sokoto was also searched.

Although Dasuki said he was being victimised for discharging his responsibilities, a Presidency source told The Nation that evidence abound that his office played a major role in some shady withdrawals. Dasuki’s office, the source explained, was fingered in the case of a driver to his personal assistant who allegedly disappeared with a car containing $5million cash withdrawn from the NSA office’s account with the Central Bank of Nigeria. Dasuki was placed under security surveillance immediately Buhari was sworn in due to the role he played in the plan to truncate the handover of governance to a new government on May 29, it was learnt. Said the source: “I believe Dasuki knows the truth and he is only latching onto the democratic environment to twist the tale. The cry of a witch-hunt is unfounded because we work in the same office. We don’t even need to go into how he purchased the Asokoro mansion few months after his appointment as NSA.

 “Is Dasuki also claiming ignorance of investigation into the suspicious disappearance of a driver to his Personal Assistant with a vehicle loaded with $5m? In fact, the relatives of the driver are still asking the authorities to help look for their son. The money was withdrawn at the CBN and the PA claimed the driver said he wanted to go for lunch only to disappear with the money, which was in the boot of the car. Now, who allows a driver to go out with a vehicle containing such a huge sum of money? “You know Dasuki is just playing for time and I think he knows the game is up. By the way, who told the former president that he could influence the sacked Service Chiefs to stage a coup and frustrate the handover date? Who championed the idea of changing the date for the election midway, having realised that Jonathan was not going to win? Who has been collecting millions of dollars to buy sophisticated gadgets and equipment to fight insurgency without any appreciable progress until the tail end of the tenure of Jonathan?” 

The source also said that Dasuki cannot explicate his office from the botched $15million cash-for-weapons deal that went awry in South Africa, adding that the extension of the investigation to Sokoto was informed by the fact that the former NSA had taken full control of the house long after his father relocated to Kano before moving to London to treat an ailment. Said the source, who pleaded not to be named because of the “sensitivity” of the matter:

 “The truth is that his father relocated from Sokoto a long time ago and that house is solely being used by Dasuki. What point is he trying to prove by feigning ignorance about what he keeps in the Sokoto house? Is he saying there is no money lodged in that house or that some government vehicles were not retrieved from from there? Anyway, by the time he is brought before justice, we will know whether this is frame up or not. Sometimes, it is not the noise you make on the pages of newspapers that count but how you defend your integrity”. 

Dasuki in an exclusive interview with The Nation on Saturday had described the siege to his house is mere witch-hunt. He said:

 “It is just a witch-hunt. If you want me to make clarifications on any issue, in the spirit of democracy and the rule of Law, have the courtesy to invite me and as a gentleman, I will honour the invitation. Sending two trucks to lay siege to my house and restrict my movement is just abysmal.”

Nollywood Actor ''Bruno Iwuoha'' Goes Blind, Battles Diabetes, Needs N3.5M For Eye Surgery

On Tuesday 14th of July, nollywood actor Bruno Iwuoha was invited to the Brekete Family Program on 104.5FM in Abuja. And while on air, he revealed his current battle with diabetes/glaucoma. According to the actor, he never knew he had diabetes until a violent armed robbery attack that landed him in hospital. A series of test carried out on him unveiled that he has diabetes and since then he has been managing it until the condition affected his sight.

 “I’ve gone to so many places; within the country, outside the country for treatment, until finally…finally, the thing [diabetes] claimed one of my sight. As I look at you now, I’m using only one sight. They call that glaucoma. And gradually, it’s affecting the other one [eye]. So, naim make, apart from places…the people who call me atimes, both the little cash they can give me…drugs and all that…but I discovered that this thing [the illness] is a lifetime something. And it has robbed me of the job [acting]. And now, if I get a script, it will be hard for me to read it very well. And if I read it, if I strain my eyes for so long, it would look as if someone would lead me around the house or anywhere I want to go because it will affect the only one [eye]. So that’s my problem," the actor said.

 He further said he needs the help of kind-hearted Nigerians because he has been referred to a US-based hospital where he is required to have N3.5million. So far he has about N200,000. He said he got to know that Jonathan gave AGN money but Ibinabo Fiberesima never assisted him with any money when he reached out to her.
