HUMAN MEMORY VS ELECTRONIC MEMORY

Developments in electronic science have transformed the art of record keeping in the modern age.  Traditionally, records of events were kept only in people's minds.  It depended very much on the retentive power of the human memory.
This was extremely dangerous as people either forgot events wholly or partly, or deliberately falsified details to suit their various interests.  Interminable arguments were thus the order of the day.
Later on, writing replaced mental recording but was not free from the shortcomings of mental recording, as untruths could be written as true records either willingly or inadvertently.
With the advent of the electronic memory, these dangers have been largely overcome.  Recording on the radio and video cassettes/CDs do not only show what happen, but also who did or said.  In addition to these, the invention of CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) has made it possible to monitor events without been noticed.
Electronic memory by far, surpass that of the human memory because whatever is been recorded is free of falseness.  Although it have been proved scientifically that the human brain has the capacity of storing large information without getting exhausted, compared to the electronic memory which has a limited memory capacity.
