Woman reveals how female suicide bombers are groomed

former Boko Haram victim, Meriam, explained captivated girls were brainwashed before embarking on suicide operations.   She made the revelation to the New York Times at
a camp for internally displaced persons in Borno State.

“The Boko Haram would recite the prayer for the dead, then they would put on the hijab, covering the suicide belt,” she said.

She further stated, “After they had prepared, they said, ‘God will forgive us,’. Then, they would enter the vehicles, and they would send the women away,” 

Members of the sect were also said to have raped hundreds of their female victims who were warned to cooperate or be killed.
