Woman tries to smuggle half a pound of cocaine in her vagina

24-year-old Shekira Thompson was arrested at JFK Airport for attempting to smuggle half a pound of cocaine in a package that she had hidden in her vagina. She would have gotten away with it, if it weren’t for those meddling customs officials.

Thompson was returning from a trip to Jamaica on February 21 when, according to the New York Daily News, customs officials noticed she was sweating profusely. Thompson was taken into a private screening room where she admitted to trying to sneak drugs into the country. She handed over the duct-taped package which was confirmed to be filled with cocaine.
According to authorities, the package contained 255.5 grams of coke, worth about $10,000. Thompson is currently being held on Rikers Island.
Remember, crime doesn’t pay, but sometimes it vaguely resembles episodes of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
